During our last visit "Home" we stayed at The Grand Floridian. We found this resort to be stunning and beautiful. I felt when I pulled my photo for the page to go into the scrapbook album for this trip that the layout needed to be a bit more "elegant".
I used several Stampin' Up! products to complete this page and those items will be listed below.
My intention for this page was for it to "appear" as if the main building of this resort was "picture framed".
I "gutted" a 12x12 piece of Country Woods DSP so I had a 1 inch border for the frame. The center of the cut I turned over and placed in the middle of the border "frame".
Textured Metallic Specialty DSP was used for the thin pieces of gold around the inside of the "frame". I cut these at ¼" and cut the ends to appear angle cut.
A variety of scraps was used with the Painted Lavender Dies for the "sprigs" in the corners and behind the corner of the photo. I also used a couple of the vellum pieces from the current Paper Pumpkin kit, Life Is Sweet (June 2024).
My butterfly was stamped with StāzOn Jet Black using Spotlight On Nature. I love using alcohol markers. If you like these colors go for Pale Papaya and Crushed Curry. Be sure to go over your marker coloring to get a really smooth blend.
A "Wink of Stella" adds that perfect sparkle. Yes, I use Wink of Stella often!!
So, here are my "from these" to "this" photos of my page. And, if you haven't tried "gutting" your paper give it a go. You will save paper as all that behind this and that on your page will never been seen.
