Watercolor with Pencils ...

I have so many coloring pencils and I love using the watercolor pencils the most.  Here is a shared class and while it is published as making a card, you can utilize this technique for various projects including scrapbook pages.

Google Drive Changes & My Google Drive Shared Files ...

Hi everyone,

I have noticed the past couple of days that when I go to my Google Drive the files, catalogs etc. I have shared there are no longer showing color but are now showing in grayscale.  Once the file, catalog, etc. is opened the images are in color. I wanted to bring this issue up in case someone attempting to open a shared file sees the grayscale and decides to not open it.  Go ahead - open it as it is safe - just Google changing things.

Here is what has been said about this change from color to grayscale.

Google has been gradually unifying Drive’s look so that folders and many interface elements default to gray, with color used more sparingly for accents and labels. This means that, even though you still have full access to your files, the visual distinction between Docs, Sheets, and Slides is now much less pronounced in some views.​

I will say I really miss seeing the cover of my shared digital catalogs, etc. being the color format but according to Google we are unable to revert back to the "old" format.

Mix It Up ...

Many people have come to Stampin' Up! from Close to My Heart and you along with myself have so many Scrapbook Workshops, Card Stock, beautiful paper & embellishments.  

So, I thought, "mix it up" and use some from both companies. Let's face it - many of us need to thin our stash! So, that is what I have done here.

I have provided at the end of this post the clickable links for the Stampin' Up! products I have used on this 2-page layout.

As for Close to My Heart, I used the Tutti Frutti Scrapbooking Workshop guide. I selected 2-page layout #2 using papers from their Happiest Place collection.

I did use White Willow for the base as well at the center square on the right page.  Then, stamped with Smoky Slate using Gears & Textures stamp set. The stamping is 2nd generation.

The Daffodil Delight light & dark strips as well as the polka dot pieces were cut using my Silhouette Cameo 4 after creating the pieces in their software. I made the measurements the best I could and saved as an svg file in case wanting to use at a later date for another layout.

The embellishments are all Close to My Heart.  I absolutely 💗 the castle on the left page.  I did use black D
imensionals to give the castle a little dimension.

Music bottom right on the right page as well as all the musical notes were cut with my Silhouette Cameo 4.  If you have a Silhouette, Cricut or other cutting machine consider using it for those little something extras.  They also are great for cutting your photo mats.  I am all about doing what makes it easier or time saving!
