Changing To New Stamp Organizers ...

For a variety of reasons, I have decided to transfer my current stamp set to the new Stamp & Die Organizers #167772.  My reasoning is space with hubby "considering" retirement in a year or two.  He has been saying retirement in 2 years for a few years so unsure when a year or two actually is :)

While the new stamp sets & dies moving forward with new products will arrive to you in the new Organizers, I did a little "thing" for changing from the current "DVD" style to the new "envelope" style organizer.

I wanted to have a description insert with stamp/die images so I "copied" the current insert from the "DVD" style onto 8-½" x 11" paper.  While not a "perfect" insert and not exact to the new inserts this does the trick for me.

#1 - After I copied, I placed the copy on my Trimmer with the 11" side against the top. Since this is regular copy/printer paper I very carefully ran the score piece over the paper about 4 times.

#2 - I then found the score line and proceeded to make the fold in half.

#3 - Next I placed the folder copy onto the Trimmer & looking from left to right, with the raw edge at about the 1st "tick" mark on the "inches" line.  You can see in the photo #3 where I have it aligned.  It is just over the valley on the Trimmer - on the right side of the valley.

#4 - You may want to trim this small amount off of that raw edge for an easier fit into the new "Organizer".  I found trimming just shy of ¼" made the fit nice and easy to slide into the "Organizer".

#5 - I have placed my insert into the new Stamp Organizer with the stamp set between the folded piece.

The new stamp sets & dies will have an insert that is folded at the top but this works for me. I could have used the current inserts from the "DVD" style cases but I wanted full coverage inside the new storage.

The new "Stamp & Die Organizers" will be available November 4th.  They will come 10 to a pack for $16.00 USD.  If you prefer the current "DVD" style they will also be offered online for purchase.

Please let me know if you have any questions :)

Happy creating,
