Card From Creativity Now 2025 ...

 
I participated in our Stampin' Up!™ Creativity Now event and loved one of the cards demonstrated just a little extra.  So, I decided to make it and sort of put my own spin on it.  Just a little tweak is all. 

The measurements are shown in the photo and I am sharing clickable links to the products I used at the end of this post.  I also used a couple of retired products and will note they are retired with (R) at the end of the product.  We all have retired products!!

Instructions:

1. Score 4" x 12" piece of DSP along the 12" side at 2" and 7-½". Fold on score lines to create 4" x 5-½" card base. Top flap should be 2".

2. Align the top of the 3" x 4" cardstock with the top of your chosen embossing folder OR 3D embossing folder and center it for the embossed look you want.  Run it through your embossing machine and adhere it to the top flap of the card.  I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3. Die cut using the large label die and the 2-½" x 4-¼" Basic White cardstock and Doves from 3" x 4" Basic White cardstock (I used Shimmer White (R) SDSP).  Die cut using Small Sprig Die (or die of your choice) using the 1" x 1" cardstock or DSP.  Finally, using the 2" x 2" cardstock, DSP or Shimmer Paper die cut as much as the small label you can using the smaller label die or die of your choosing.

4. Use a Blending Brush (I used a small blending brush) to add Balmy Blue ink to the top right corner of the 3-½" x 5" Basic White card insert.  Stamp sentiment on the bottom of the insert in ink color that matches your cardstock & DSP. Adhere insert to inside of card.  Adhere the open-winged Dove to the top right corner.

5. Stamp sentiment in your chosen ink color on the bottom half of the large label.  Use a Blending Brush (I used a small blending brush) to add Balmy Blue ink to the large label.  Adhere your smaller die cut label to the top of the larger die cut label above the sentiment.

6. Use a craft blade to cut a slit at the bottom of the larger die cut label to pull the ribbon through.  Thread the ribbon through the slit and up through the back of the die cut larger label again making sure you have placed your Dimensionals to allow the ribbon to pull through easily.  Tie the ribbon in a bow at the bottom of the lebel to hold the card closed.

7. Tie a very small bow with Bakers Twine or Linen Thread and adhere the Dove, sprig and the small bow to the card using Dimensionals.
