I saw a stunning scrapbook album cover set that was Christmas themed and knew I had to have it. So, I decided to have an exclusive Christmas Through The Years scrapbook album.
I am working on my Christmas pictures for the year 2017. My plan is to not include most of my pictures taken as I do tend to have that "problem". Less is more is my strategy for this album - fingers crossed I can do that!!!
I began die cutting 3 different sizes from Deckled Circles Dies #162286. These were available in Last Chance at the time I was completing this layout but I see at the time of putting this post together that they have sold out and will no longer be available. You can just use stitched or plain circle dies of your choice. The sizes I used at 1-¼", 2" and 2-½" circles.
The count I actually used for my wreath is 17 small, 13 medium and 17 large circles. I wanted depth so I also used Dimensionals on a small few of each size.
I did use White Willow CS and trimmed to 11-¾" and added a piece of 12" x 12" Real Red CS for backing adhering with Tear & Tape. The image I am showing here appears to have a much larger "red" background and that is due to the software I use to "frame" the picture.
My banner and numbers were made with the dies in Birthday Celebration Dies using Gold Foil Sheets for the banner and tassels. I used Festive Glimmer Paper (Granny Apple Green) for the numbers.
I used Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive Backed Berries for the embellishments.
Michigan was die cut with an old small set of dies I have had for years and I cut through White Willow and adhered to a scrap of Gold Foil Sheets. I added a couple of small pieces of Real Red & Gold ⅜" Gotted Ribbon to the ends of the Gold Foil Sheet background for title. I also used the Happy Labels Pick a Punch for the ends of the Gold Foil Sheet and White Willow pieces.
Granny Apple Green ink pad and small blending brush wuse on the 4 corners and the middle of the wreath.
This was a fun layout with so many beautiful scraps of Christmas DSP and layers for depth. What took the longest was cutting all of the circles but I am really happy I took the time to make this one.
I hope your Christmas was "Happy" and "Merry" and wishing you an incredible crafty and healthy New Year!!
