Layout Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Elton ...

Continuing the pages for my Rock & Roll Hall of Fame visit is a 1 page layout for Elton John.  We almost missed his area as it was a very small display.  After completing this 1 page I realized I have 2 other pictures.  So, looks like this 1 page will become a 2 page.  Maybe I will have to add a flip flap????

I used a stamp from the March 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit, Beyond The Horizon.  Yes, 2022 and I actually use my Paper Pumpkin stamps often in my cards and layouts.  I inked with Real Red and our new 2025 - 2027 InColor, Timid Tiger.  Always ink a portion of the stamp with your lighter color 1st and then carefully add the darker color if you are using stamp blocks instead of a stamping platform (ie: Misti or Stamparatus if you have one).
I used 12"x12" White Willow and tore a piece of12"x12" piece of Gray Granite on both side.  I placed a piece of scrap 12"x12" and tore both side that I had from a CTMH collection.

My embellishment arrows and glass framed are also leftovers from CTMH and are acrylic.  I loved these embellishments and bought everything they had when the acrylic items launched.  I am hoping at some point Stampin' Up! will bring some of the acrylic embellishments into the scrapbooking kits.  I also added a piece of vellum that I inked with Timid Tiger behind the glasses.  Then, Wink of Stella on the "lenses" and Filled in with Liquid Glass from Ranger to make the glasses appear to have glass lenses.  Completed with SU Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels.

I am not adding a sketch for this as it's a very simple layout.  Just decide how wide you would want your torn pieces or if you even want them torn and place in the middle of a little more left or right.  Stamping, embellishments and photo's - you are done.

And, since I used a variety of companies products my Products Used list is very short.  If not listed below it is another company as noted above or a retired item such as the Iridescent embellishments.

Sketch For Scrapbook Layout "King of Pop" ...

My Rock & Roll Hall of Fame / Stampin' Up! Onstage Raleigh 2025 convention album continues with the Michael Jackson exhibit.  I am including products used and the Sketch.

With a 12" x 12" piece of White Willow CS I measured in ¼" all the way around.  I cut shimmer paper (black) ¼" x 12" and angled corners as if a picture frame.

On my layout for this photo I also cut on Black CS 11 strips at 10-¾" x ¼" placing the bottom of each strip on the 1", 2", 3" etc marks.  I used glue to place.  I did the strips to coordinate with the outfit shown in the exhibit photograph.

The white glittery right hand glove was designed and cut using my Cricut Maker.

Real Red square piece 7" x 7" and edges dabbed with Cherry Cobbler. I also used embellishments from Drusy Adhesive Backed #164223.  I used silver to coordinate with the sparkle of the glove and the silver foil title outline. Festive Foils (retired) was used for the inside of title.  I had a scrap of this I wanted to use.

Lettering is from a set I have purchased from Close To My Heart before they closed.

Vacay Layout is Iconic Freddie, a Technique & Sketch ...

Continuing my layouts for our little "vacay" that took place on my way to Onstage 2025 Raleigh with Stampin' Up!™.  I would always see Freddy in these awesome Adidas shoes onstage in their videos.  So, when we visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this past March, I was so happy to see them on display.

My "technique" on this layout is pretty simply but can be a tad messy.  I used some scraps from Season of Elegance and after beginning and applying the DSP to the White Willow noticed I was out of Real Red and Cherry Cobbler CS.  So, I stamped my design onto White Willow using VersaMark and WOW Gold Embossing powder from our Basics Wow 3 pack.  Set that with our heat tool and after a couple minutes to let cool I then with a small blending brush went over the embossed design on the White Willow with Real Red ink.  Once finished there was of course Real Red ink on top of the gold embossed area and it dulled it a bit.  I took my microfiber cloth (cloth of my choice) and gently rubbed over the heat embossed gold to remove the ink and make it super shiny again.  So happy our inks coordinate with our cardstock perfectly!

I also used Darling Duckling, one of the NEW In Colors 2025-2027 for the title and dot embellishments.  And, I stamped LOVE on the White Willow using Layered Thoughts stamp set #165346.  These will be available May 6th.

The title was made using Alphabet ala Mode dies #160750.  White Willow edges inked with Real Red ink and applied with a dauber.

Here is the Sketch.

A Tip & Reminder ...

You may know of this tip & possibly even done this yourself!

While working on a couple of pages for a getaway I realized after starting the page I needed Real Red CS to coordinate with my chosen DSP.  I went to my CS storage and the folder was empty.  How could I let THIS happen?  Easy solution since our ink matches our DSP and CS colors perfectly.

I stamped my chosen design onto White Willow with VersaMark ink after using embossing buddy.  I then used WOW gold embossing powder on the design and set with our heat tool.  Once I did that and let it cool for a minute I used a small blending brush and Real Red Classic Stampin' Pad & blended the ink over the entire die cut piece.  I like to use microfiber cloths so I then rubbed my microfiber cloth over the design to remove the Real Red ink that was on top of the heat embossed gold.  This brought the shine back to the gold as you can see below on the right side of the image on the right.  Oh, be ready for your fingers to also share the color that you are working with.  I had lovely Real Red fingers and nails 🤣
