Goodbye 2024 ~ Hello 2025 ...

I can not thank those of you that follow and also comment here.  As many know I was a "hobby demonstrator" since May of 2021.  It was the 2nd time I joined Stampin' Up!

I love the products they offer so much and am so happy they are also now focusing again on Scrapbooking products.  Can not wait to see what 2025 brings for this line!

Along with my sincerest thanks for being here while I navigate this adventure of switching from "hobby demonstrator" to a "REAL" demonstrator "LOL" I want to wish each of you and your family a very healthy and prosperous 2025!

Happy New Year!!

The Start To My Christmas Album For Year 2017 ...

I saw a stunning scrapbook album cover set that was Christmas themed and knew I had to have it.  So, I decided to have an exclusive Christmas Through The Years scrapbook album.

I am working on my Christmas pictures for the year 2017.  My plan is to not include most of my pictures taken as I do tend to have that "problem".  Less is more is my strategy for this album - fingers crossed I can do that!!!

I began die cutting 3 different sizes from Deckled Circles Dies #162286. These were available in Last Chance at the time I was completing this layout but I see at the time of putting this post together that they have sold out and will no longer be available.  You can just use stitched or plain circle dies of your choice.  The sizes I used at 1-¼", 2" and 2-½" circles.

The count I actually used for my wreath is 17 small, 13 medium and 17 large circles.  I wanted depth so I also used Dimensionals on a small few of each size.

I did use White Willow CS and trimmed to 11-¾" and added a piece of 12" x 12" Real Red CS for backing adhering with Tear & Tape. The image I am showing here appears to have a much larger "red" background and that is due to the software I use to "frame" the picture.

My banner and numbers were made with the dies in Birthday Celebration Dies using Gold Foil Sheets for the banner and tassels.  I used Festive Glimmer Paper (Granny Apple Green) for the numbers.

I used Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive Backed Berries for the embellishments.

Michigan was die cut with an old small set of dies I have had for years and I cut through White Willow and adhered to a scrap of Gold Foil Sheets.  I added a couple of small pieces of Real Red & Gold ⅜" Gotted Ribbon to the ends of the Gold Foil Sheet background for title.  I also used the Happy Labels Pick a Punch for the ends of the Gold Foil Sheet and White Willow pieces.

Granny Apple Green ink pad and small blending brush wuse on the 4 corners and the middle of the wreath.

This was a fun layout with so many beautiful scraps of Christmas DSP and layers for depth.  What took the longest was cutting all of the circles but I am really happy I took the time to make this one.

I hope your Christmas was "Happy" and "Merry" and wishing you an incredible crafty and healthy New Year!!

Quick Card on the Fly ...

Ever find yourself in a spot and need a really quick card?  We eat at Chipotle a lot and finally have one in our town.  One of the employees has gotten to know us and when he sees us in the parking lot he begins the wipe down and utensil changes for my food allergies.  He gets fresh ingredients for my Burrito Bowl too.

We want to give him an extra thank you so have a gift card and wanted to put it in a card.  Here is what I did and it really was quick.  You can make it even quicker if you eliminate the heat embossing. I used VersaMark and WOW Gold embossing powder around the front edge of the card front.  Also, heat embossed Happy as well as the banner edges.

I used Peaceful Season Bundle, both for stamping Happy and die cut banner.  The banner is adhered with Mini Dimensionals.

I used Season of Elegance DSP for the front of card layer 1 and inside card layer 1 and embellished the front of the card with the smaller sized snowflakes from Adhesive-Backed Snowflake Assortment.  Just a tad from the heat tool to slightly lift the edges.

Measurements:
Card base: 5" x 3-½" (I used Very Vanilla Note Cards & Envelopes) OR
Card base: 7" x 5" and scored at 3-½"
Layer 1: 4-½" x 3"

CARD INSIDE:

I decided to make the inside of the card layers just a tad smaller.  I liked the way it fit on this smaller card.  I used the same DSP for "layer 1" and Very Vanilla CS for "layer 2".  Stamped image is from Shepherd's Care with VersaMark and then heat embossed with WOW Gold embossing powder.  I also inked the edges of the Very Vanilla CS with VersaMark and again with WOW Gold embossing powder heat embossed.

Measurements inside of card:

Layer 1: 3" x 4-¾"
Layer 2: 2-¾" x 4"

So, you can see super quick "need a card right now"!  Products are listed below with clickable links for those that are available as of this posting.

I will probably say it at least a couple more times before December 25th ...

Merry Christmas,

Tina

2 Page Layout ...

I love scrapbooking and am trying to get quicker at it.  I over think and change my mind so many times.  I wonder how many of us have the same issues LOL.

So, here we go ...

The information is in the attached PDF which you can view here or download.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

While this 2 page layout is quite simple it was time consuming with all of the lettering.  Dimensionals, foam strips, liquid glue and my ringer too loud.  It is explained in the PDF LOL!!

Birthday Celebration Sneak Peek ~

During our demonstrator pre-order period one of the selections I made was the Wildflowers Birthday Suite: # 164604 (available January 7th).  I had watched a promo video Stampin' Up!™ made using this same collection for some scrapbooking pages.  I knew I had to have this one as there are also so many Dies included in the Suite, Bundle or Dies alone.  Recipe PDF is attached below images.

Showing the card front and inside of this pretty and versatile set.  Also, many of the sheets of DSP can be used for non-birthday cards and/or scrapbook pages.  Here's an image of the included DSP whether purchased separately or with the Suite.

Here's the PDF for the card shown above.  Fun design & quick to make.

Beautiful Florals ...

With new products launching both with new Mini Catalog and Online Exclusives I wanted to pre-order some beautiful products to create some cards and layouts.

These products will be available January 7th and hoping this makes it on your must have lists.  It will be available

I immediately loved the Mixed Media Suite and that was top of my list.  Thinking of the beautiful flowers in all of Disney Parks I knew this was a must have.  The garden leading to Le Cellier in "Canada" at EPCOT immediately came to mind.

I made a 2 page layout with the most stunning DSP and it was truly hard to cut LOL but I survived.

Here is the PDF and the supply list with links I used are also noted at the end.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for January 7th.  Remember, there will be a new Mini Catalog for Jan - April, New Online Exclusives and  the ever popular event of Sale-A-Bration!  Who doesn't like free products?!!  If you have ordered from me this past several months you will be receiving the new Mini Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration brochure as an extra thank you.  Stampin' Up! will be mailing them to you.

Happy stampin' and scrappin'

Pretty Petals ...

I love to send Thank You cards to not only my friends/customers but also contractors that do work for us.

For this card I used Pretty Petals bundle and Autumn Leaves.  Color theme is Peach Pie and Mossy Meadow.

  • Card Base: 4-¼" x 11" scored at 5-½"
  • Layer 1: 4" x 5-¼"
  • Layer 2: 3-¾" x 4-¾" (I wanted the length shorter than "normal")
  • Inside: 3-¾" x 4-¾" but used 2 pieces to equal that measurement for color variance.

For layer 1 I used Peach Pie cardstock. Then stamped Sketch Plaid stamp using Peach Pie ink.  I also did this on the inside bottom piece where sentiment will go.

I did stamp directly on layer 2 with Pretty Petals largest stamp which is the greenery using Mossy Meadow.  Next I stamped the larger petal stamp using Peach Pie.  Stamping twice more onto scrap paper the same petal stamp then used the die for that stamp to have individual petals for placement on top of a few original stamped petals I used Dimensionals trimmed to fit to add dimension and only used a small number of those loose petals.

And, as you know I have an addiction to Wink of Stella so that was used on all of the petals and greenery.

Sentiment is stamped with Peach Pie ink using a stamp from Autumn Leaves and also used the die from that same set.  Using Dimensionals I placed the sentiment over Peach Pie ribbon.  Peach Pie ribbon was also placed on the inside of card over where Basic White and Peach Pie cardstock met.

Random stamping with the larger petal stamp with Peach Pie ink around the outer edges of the inside of card.  Peach Pie ink was used on all edges with a dauber.

Happy stamping,

Tina
