And more ~ Spotlight On Nature ...

I have found this set so versatile and can be used for any occasion.  I haven't decided yet on what occasion I plan to use it for.

I am working on a scrapbooking layout with this set but today completed another card using the set.

Regular A2 card base with panel 1 being from Thoughtful Designs 12 X 12 Speciality DSP.  This collection of DSP is simply stunning.  And, while the one I was not able to chose Pretty In Pink from this collection I do feel the one I selected works perfectly.

I stamped the front of the card using my stamping platform.  I wanted to have a couple color variations for the leaves so I find this the best method for me.  I used Mossy Meadow and Parakeet Party Stampin' Write markers.  Once I did the leaves I then masked the leaves and used Pretty In Pink Classic Stampin' Pad for the flowers. I left the stamp on the stamping platform through all of this.

I then placed the Basic White cardstock with my selected die on the cutting plate and ran it through my Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine.  I have the mini and it worked perfectly.

Once I ran it through the machine I then placed some Pretty In Pink ink from the Stampin' Write marker onto my Stampin' Up glass mat (available to customers July 3rd).  I spritzed with a little water and used a water brush to flick some of the ink color onto the Basic White cardstock.

The embellishments are from the current In Colors and will post a link to those as well as the other items I used below.

Spotlight On Nature ...

I was so happy when Spotlight On Nature became available again.

There are so many possibilities with this Bundle.  If you are reading this today, June 30th, this is the last day for the additional 10% off the already 10% reduction for Stamp + Die Bundles.  

It's a great time to get those you really like and would want to own.

The card is A2 Vertical 4-¼ x 11 and scored at 5-½ 

Panel #1 is 4 x 5-¼ 

Panel #2 is 3-¾ x 5

Panel #3 is 3-½ x 4-¾ 

Measurements would be the same for the inside where you will place your sentiment.

I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad to stamp onto Basic White Thick 8-½ x 11 cardstock.  I then used Summer Splash 8-½ x 11 cardstock for the panels.  The ribbon is also Summer Splash with the sentiment being stamped with .... you guess it - Summer Splash.  The embellishments are from Loose Frosted Dots.  Keep in mind these do not have adhesive on them so you would use a dab of glue which I did.  Some use glue dots.  You can also use them in shaker cards.

Oh, and don't forget the Stampin' Blends for this look as I love using alcohol markers.  But, you could also use the Stampin' Write Markers or even Watercolor Pencils.  Make it your own!

The butterfly was fussy cut.  I keep practicing my fussy cutting and am getting a bit better - :) 

I actually have come a long way with fussy cutting!!

It's Friday and I'm "In The Grove" ...

This was a fun set.  I used Thoughtful Journey 6x6 DSP for the background.  The overlay die was cut on Basic Beige cardstock.  I then used Foam Adhesive Strips around the edges to add dimension.  I did die cut the little bunny on an older cardstock - Soft Suede.   Ribbon and sentiment are Petunia Pop.  Petunia Pop has become one of my favorite colors.  I did add the birds in flight from the Adhesive Backed  Dragonflies and Birds.  We need birds, right!!

Simply Zinnia .....

This is a beautiful stamp set.  I love working with the Cling stamp sets as the details are so pronounced.  And yes, the Cling sets are the red rubber.

Also, as you will notice with this bundle, as well as other bundles, there will be extra dies that you can use to die cut things that do not match up to stamps.  You can see this when looking at the images provided in the catalog or my website.  I love this and feel like that is an added bonus with the dies.

With this set I immediately thought of a "Thank You" card.  

Here are the details.

Card base cut 5-½" x 8-½" (I used Basic White)

Card layer 1 cut 5-½" x 4" (I used Petunia Pop) 

Card layer 2 cut 5" x 3-¾" (I used Basic White)

Ribbon is Petunia Pop

Embellishments are Iridescent Adhesive Backed Discs (They are flat)

I stamped the sentiment in Petunia Pop

Alcohol markers are
colors Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Mossy Meadow and Garden Green.  

Then, I added a touch of Wink of Stella to the Zinnias for some sparkle.

Just a note ~ the clickable image for Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends will take you to that color.  But, then you can search for the others or your color choices by typing Stampin' Blends.  I didn't want to post each of the colors as you may want to choose your own.

For the "LOVE" of Embossing .....

Do you create with heat embossing?  

I love adding this with a sentiment or florals.  

So many ways to create with heat embossing.

I have even drug the edges of a card with the 

VersaMark and then added embossing powder to that.  

It really added a little "extra" to that card. 

We have a useful Embossing Tool Kit.  So handy when using embossing powder and then you can easily put the unused embossing powder back into the container.

Sunday morning crafting ...

Time to get busy on the June 2024 Paper Pumpkin™ - Life is Sweet.  These kits include everything you need from adhesive to the Classic Stampin' Spot™ - small version of the Classic Stampin' Pad™.  Your 1st kit will come with a stamping block (size is approx. 3" x 2¾" x ¼" thick). I plan to make at least 1 of each of the designs.  I'll use the remaining kit pieces for alternative card designs and scrapbooking pages.

Alphabet Ala Mode anyone ....

If you love making titles for your scrapbooking pages these are the perfect addition to your collection.  I have used these on several scrapbook pages with Multi-purpose Liquid glue & also used our Foam Adhesive Sheets for dimension.

To use the Foam Adhesive sheets, remove the protective cover from one side and place your DSP (Designer Series Paper) or cardstock on that sticky side.

  Place the dies you want to use and run that through your embossing/die cutting machine. 

         Here's an example of a scrapbook page I used them on. 

With this page I used the Foam Adhesive Sheets with DSP.  I ran that through my Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine. Love the added dimension the Alphabet a la Mode dies shows here.

Introduction ...

Hi everyone.  I have been an Independent Stampin' Up! for a little over 4 years.  I have had other blogs but wanted to start a fresh one that is strictly Stampin' Up!

I hope you will check things out as I post and create some of the projects too.

I would also like to share a little about myself.  I am from Texas and currently living in Michigan.  My husband of 30 years (June 1994) was offered an incredible job here and the rest is history.  The relocation was even easier as I have family in this very location.  Once he retires (he has been saying in a couple years for about the past 6 years) we are thinking of returning home - to Texas.

So many of my scrapbook pages are full of memories from Disney Parks.  We have a great love for the Mouse.  I mean, how can you not love Mickey Mouse & Minnie!!
