Goodbye 2024 ~ Hello 2025 ...

I can not thank those of you that follow and also comment here.  As many know I was a "hobby demonstrator" since May of 2021.  It was the 2nd time I joined Stampin' Up!

I love the products they offer so much and am so happy they are also now focusing again on Scrapbooking products.  Can not wait to see what 2025 brings for this line!

Along with my sincerest thanks for being here while I navigate this adventure of switching from "hobby demonstrator" to a "REAL" demonstrator "LOL" I want to wish each of you and your family a very healthy and prosperous 2025!

Happy New Year!!

The Start To My Christmas Album For Year 2017 ...

I saw a stunning scrapbook album cover set that was Christmas themed and knew I had to have it.  So, I decided to have an exclusive Christmas Through The Years scrapbook album.

I am working on my Christmas pictures for the year 2017.  My plan is to not include most of my pictures taken as I do tend to have that "problem".  Less is more is my strategy for this album - fingers crossed I can do that!!!

I began die cutting 3 different sizes from Deckled Circles Dies #162286. These were available in Last Chance at the time I was completing this layout but I see at the time of putting this post together that they have sold out and will no longer be available.  You can just use stitched or plain circle dies of your choice.  The sizes I used at 1-¼", 2" and 2-½" circles.

The count I actually used for my wreath is 17 small, 13 medium and 17 large circles.  I wanted depth so I also used Dimensionals on a small few of each size.

I did use White Willow CS and trimmed to 11-¾" and added a piece of 12" x 12" Real Red CS for backing adhering with Tear & Tape. The image I am showing here appears to have a much larger "red" background and that is due to the software I use to "frame" the picture.

My banner and numbers were made with the dies in Birthday Celebration Dies using Gold Foil Sheets for the banner and tassels.  I used Festive Glimmer Paper (Granny Apple Green) for the numbers.

I used Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive Backed Berries for the embellishments.

Michigan was die cut with an old small set of dies I have had for years and I cut through White Willow and adhered to a scrap of Gold Foil Sheets.  I added a couple of small pieces of Real Red & Gold ⅜" Gotted Ribbon to the ends of the Gold Foil Sheet background for title.  I also used the Happy Labels Pick a Punch for the ends of the Gold Foil Sheet and White Willow pieces.

Granny Apple Green ink pad and small blending brush wuse on the 4 corners and the middle of the wreath.

This was a fun layout with so many beautiful scraps of Christmas DSP and layers for depth.  What took the longest was cutting all of the circles but I am really happy I took the time to make this one.

I hope your Christmas was "Happy" and "Merry" and wishing you an incredible crafty and healthy New Year!!

Quick Card on the Fly ...

Ever find yourself in a spot and need a really quick card?  We eat at Chipotle a lot and finally have one in our town.  One of the employees has gotten to know us and when he sees us in the parking lot he begins the wipe down and utensil changes for my food allergies.  He gets fresh ingredients for my Burrito Bowl too.

We want to give him an extra thank you so have a gift card and wanted to put it in a card.  Here is what I did and it really was quick.  You can make it even quicker if you eliminate the heat embossing. I used VersaMark and WOW Gold embossing powder around the front edge of the card front.  Also, heat embossed Happy as well as the banner edges.

I used Peaceful Season Bundle, both for stamping Happy and die cut banner.  The banner is adhered with Mini Dimensionals.

I used Season of Elegance DSP for the front of card layer 1 and inside card layer 1 and embellished the front of the card with the smaller sized snowflakes from Adhesive-Backed Snowflake Assortment.  Just a tad from the heat tool to slightly lift the edges.

Measurements:
Card base: 5" x 3-½" (I used Very Vanilla Note Cards & Envelopes) OR
Card base: 7" x 5" and scored at 3-½"
Layer 1: 4-½" x 3"

CARD INSIDE:

I decided to make the inside of the card layers just a tad smaller.  I liked the way it fit on this smaller card.  I used the same DSP for "layer 1" and Very Vanilla CS for "layer 2".  Stamped image is from Shepherd's Care with VersaMark and then heat embossed with WOW Gold embossing powder.  I also inked the edges of the Very Vanilla CS with VersaMark and again with WOW Gold embossing powder heat embossed.

Measurements inside of card:

Layer 1: 3" x 4-¾"
Layer 2: 2-¾" x 4"

So, you can see super quick "need a card right now"!  Products are listed below with clickable links for those that are available as of this posting.

I will probably say it at least a couple more times before December 25th ...

Merry Christmas,

Tina

2 Page Layout ...

I love scrapbooking and am trying to get quicker at it.  I over think and change my mind so many times.  I wonder how many of us have the same issues LOL.

So, here we go ...

The information is in the attached PDF which you can view here or download.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

While this 2 page layout is quite simple it was time consuming with all of the lettering.  Dimensionals, foam strips, liquid glue and my ringer too loud.  It is explained in the PDF LOL!!

Birthday Celebration Sneak Peek ~

During our demonstrator pre-order period one of the selections I made was the Wildflowers Birthday Suite: # 164604 (available January 7th).  I had watched a promo video Stampin' Up!™ made using this same collection for some scrapbooking pages.  I knew I had to have this one as there are also so many Dies included in the Suite, Bundle or Dies alone.  Recipe PDF is attached below images.

Showing the card front and inside of this pretty and versatile set.  Also, many of the sheets of DSP can be used for non-birthday cards and/or scrapbook pages.  Here's an image of the included DSP whether purchased separately or with the Suite.

Here's the PDF for the card shown above.  Fun design & quick to make.

Beautiful Florals ...

With new products launching both with new Mini Catalog and Online Exclusives I wanted to pre-order some beautiful products to create some cards and layouts.

These products will be available January 7th and hoping this makes it on your must have lists.  It will be available

I immediately loved the Mixed Media Suite and that was top of my list.  Thinking of the beautiful flowers in all of Disney Parks I knew this was a must have.  The garden leading to Le Cellier in "Canada" at EPCOT immediately came to mind.

I made a 2 page layout with the most stunning DSP and it was truly hard to cut LOL but I survived.

Here is the PDF and the supply list with links I used are also noted at the end.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for January 7th.  Remember, there will be a new Mini Catalog for Jan - April, New Online Exclusives and  the ever popular event of Sale-A-Bration!  Who doesn't like free products?!!  If you have ordered from me this past several months you will be receiving the new Mini Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration brochure as an extra thank you.  Stampin' Up! will be mailing them to you.

Happy stampin' and scrappin'

Pretty Petals ...

I love to send Thank You cards to not only my friends/customers but also contractors that do work for us.

For this card I used Pretty Petals bundle and Autumn Leaves.  Color theme is Peach Pie and Mossy Meadow.

  • Card Base: 4-¼" x 11" scored at 5-½"
  • Layer 1: 4" x 5-¼"
  • Layer 2: 3-¾" x 4-¾" (I wanted the length shorter than "normal")
  • Inside: 3-¾" x 4-¾" but used 2 pieces to equal that measurement for color variance.

For layer 1 I used Peach Pie cardstock. Then stamped Sketch Plaid stamp using Peach Pie ink.  I also did this on the inside bottom piece where sentiment will go.

I did stamp directly on layer 2 with Pretty Petals largest stamp which is the greenery using Mossy Meadow.  Next I stamped the larger petal stamp using Peach Pie.  Stamping twice more onto scrap paper the same petal stamp then used the die for that stamp to have individual petals for placement on top of a few original stamped petals I used Dimensionals trimmed to fit to add dimension and only used a small number of those loose petals.

And, as you know I have an addiction to Wink of Stella so that was used on all of the petals and greenery.

Sentiment is stamped with Peach Pie ink using a stamp from Autumn Leaves and also used the die from that same set.  Using Dimensionals I placed the sentiment over Peach Pie ribbon.  Peach Pie ribbon was also placed on the inside of card over where Basic White and Peach Pie cardstock met.

Random stamping with the larger petal stamp with Peach Pie ink around the outer edges of the inside of card.  Peach Pie ink was used on all edges with a dauber.

Happy stamping,

Tina

Using retired products ...

I began my Stampin' Up!™ journey as a "hobby demonstrator" for the discount.  The quality of Stampin' Up!™ products always impressed me.  So, with that said I do have a large inventory of retired stamp set, bundles, DSP, etc.

While many demonstrators will not use products that are retired and I do understand their point I will use them in my personal scrapbooking pages and occasionally post my completed project.  We have to use our stuff, right?!!!!

This 1 page layout uses not only stamp sets but also my Cricut Maker.  Click on the image below for the "this and thats" of this layout.

Happy crafting,

Tina

It's been a bit ...

I have been away from creating and posting due to some issues around the house.  We decided to have our home siding updated for a refreshed look.  This took quite a bit of time on our part with meetings and selecting things.

While here there were the interruptions from the contractors about an issue or a decision that needed to be made.  This also took a good deal of time.

So, I decided to work on updating my inventory and rearranging things in my craft room.  If my concentration was broken it was super easy to return to where I left off.

So, now that this has completed I am back and hoping to get a lot of card making completed as well as completing a couple of my scrapbook albums.

Before:

After:

Similar but different.  No shutters and also able to be rid of the front of house upper venting at the peak as well as the end ventings to attic also.  The fireplace was brick but we elected to do the new siding on that as well.

Spring will bring new irrigation system (much needed) and landscaping!

Marbled Elegance ...

There are some new items available November 5th and will be located in Online Exclusives.  I wanted to make a card using the stunning DSP, stamps and dies.  I next plan to utilize this collection for some scrapbooking pages.  i have watched the process in designing this DSP and it really is a work of art by incredible artists.  The originals are handmade and then off to the printer.

The card is standard A2 and I made this into a shaker.  Since I will sending this to a friend for a special occasion in February - hence the snowflakes in the shaker window.

Card base: 8.5" x 5.5" scored @ 4.25"
Layer 1: 5.25" x 4"

And, here is the collection that was used and will be available November 5th.

Using Hearts of Elegance dies I cut the heart using Marbled Elegance DSP.  Small rectangular piece of acetate to cover the heart opening adhering with Mono Multi Purpose Liquid glue.  I placed the heart piece that was left over from due cutting onto the card base front aligning to the top layer.  Small snowflake embellishments for the shaker element and to avoid static as much as possible I rub a small amount of anti static embossing powder on the acetate.  The 2 smaller hearts are also from the dies in this collection.  Dimensionals for the shaker layer and the 2 added hearts.
Sentiment from same stamp set and I used a die from Tasteful Labels (R).  The twine is Real Red and White Bakers Twine wrapped about 3 times and then tied to a bow.  And, there is some heat embossing.

Pre-Order Peek ...

There will soon be new products in the Online Exclusives section of my website.  Here is a sneak peek at some of the products that will be available for purchase November 5th!

The cards are the standard measurements for A2 and Slimline.  I will post links to the products used that are currently available.  And, I will post again when the new Online Exclusive products are available for purchase.    That post will be made first thing November 5th if not before.  If you have signed up for email notifications of new blog posts you will be alerted via the follow.it new blog post email.  And, I again apologize for the ads that are posted on the notification as I do not have any control over them.

New stamp set and dies available November 5th.  Happy Hibiscus will be available as a Bundle or individual as tamp Set and Dies.  I also used the Gold Twisted Thread and Adhesive Backed Heart Sequins.  These will also be available November 5th.

For the Hibiscus flowers I used Lemon Lolly and Poppy Parade with detail brushes I have had forever.  You can also use finger daubers which we have online.  The dragonflies are from the Adhesive Backed Dragonflies & Birds.  Poppy Parade cardstock for mat pieces.  Card base used is Basic White Cardstock 8.5"x5.5" and score at 4.25".   I will post links at the bottom of this post for convenience.

This card also shows new Online Exclusive products that I was able to purchase on demonstrator pre-order and will be available November 5th.  This is Pretty Petals and will be available as a bundle or individually as a stamp set and dies.

I have some Slimline card bases left over from when I purchased scrapbooking workshops from Close To My Heart and that is what I used for this card.  You can also make this using your Trimmer and the following measurements.

Card base 8.5" x 7" and score at 3.5".  Many people will use a legal sized envelope if making their own slimline card base.

The Highland Heather mats are both 8.25" x 3.25" and the top (Basic White) is 8" x 3" both outside and inside.

I used Highland Heather for the mats, sentiment and flowers.  Garden Green for the leaves.  I added Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.

Glitch be gone ...

I believe I have the "glitch" fixed for my replying to comments on this Blog.  I again am so sorry it has taken me a bit to get things figured out.  Well, kind of figured out.

I can reply to comments if using Safari BUT .... still an issue if I am wanting to respond using Chrome.  Figure that one out LOL considering Blogger is a Google product just a Chrome is.  It really has me puzzled but Safari to my rescue.

I appreciate everyone's patience while I worked on this and know I appreciate the small few that are here :)

Happy crafting everyone and may YOUR "glitches" be none!!

Autumn To Remember 2 Page ...

I have so many pictures that need to be worked into my scrapbook albums.  Stampin' Up!™ recently launched a few Scrapbook Workshops adding to their already huge supply of stamps, dies, cardstock, specialty papers and more.  This is very exciting for those of us that also scrapbook/memory keep.

My 1st choice for this new line is Autumn To Remember.  While you do get the worksheet included which has the cut dimensions, placement for 3 - 2 page layouts and supply list I like to tweak just a bit to make it my own.

I changed this 2 page layout up quite a bit.  Some of the stickers have been swapped for others that fit my photos a bit better. I added the use of 3D foam tape in some places.  I had on hand some retired "Adhesive Backed Cork Rounds" that I used on the ends of the date sticker and the "Leaves abound ..." stickers.

I also decided to color the included "woodgrain die cuts" to make them appear somewhat like fall leaves.  Inked edges of the "chevron shaped die cuts".  The directions included does not call for photo mats but I like using them so I also added that for my photos.

Added some embellishments.  Stamped some leaves and used 3 ink pads to make them appear like changing autumn leaves.

The products used will be listed below the photo!  I really am enjoying this Scrapbooking Workshop.  Fall is my favorite time of year!

It's a Snowy Wonder ...

Since we have moved to Michigan from Texas we have fallen in love with the seasons.  And, we have found winter and snowfall to be extra special.  There is just something about watching the snow falling.  Seeing it on the wintery tree branches is magical.  There is a peacefulness that is felt through all the stages.  With that said - snow removal does not give us the same feeling 😊

I decided to make a 2 page spread using only 1 picture on each page.  There is a lot being down with monochromatic so I went there.  It just felt right with these pictures.

My pictures are not trimmed to a certain size.  I printed on 4x6 and trimmed the edges so I had print only and no borders.  Also, I do like double matting my images and I will usually do my journaling on my Mac and print which is what I have done here. I will post below the layouts the products used for this 2 page spread.

I used my paper trimmer at the 6" mark for the DSP and then tore at the top part of the design.  I did the same for the Smokey Slate CS and placed behind the DSP.  I did use Dimensionals behind the DSP to slightly elevate for depth.  I added ribbon from my stash (Stampin' Up! but retired) to the title.  Deckled Circle dies were used for the title.

When using the snowflake mask I applied various amounts of pressure to make some darker and some lighter.

Collection of DSP Dies Punches from Annual Catalog 2024-2025 ...

I am attaching a PDF of the current 2024-2025 Annual Catalog collection of DSP, Dies and Punches.  Sometimes it is easy to order something we have already purchased but it has slipped our mind that we have it.

Stampin' Up! has put this PDF (10 pages) together so all of these items are collection and shown in one place to make it hopefully easier for you ... well me too ☺ to avoid duplicate purchases.

Hopefully this will be useful and if there are any questions please don't hesitate to reach out.

Seaside Wishes ...

Good morning and hope your weekend was a great one.  While I am currently living in Michigan I do miss the ocean.  I love walking on those beaches, smelling the salty ocean air while collecting some of those beautiful seashells.  So, when this bundle became available I grabbed it.  It is a stunning bundle and having the 3D Hybrid embossing folder was an added bonus.

I am attaching a PDF of one of the cards I made with this bundle.  The PDF will show you the measurements for the cuts I used for this card.  Also, a list of the products use.  Please reach out with any questions as always happy to help the best I can.

I hope you have a wonderful week and if you have this bundle or any part of it I would love to see YOUR completed cards, scrapbooking layout or whatever you make.

All my social media link are on the right column,  If you post to any of them please consider using #seasidewisheswithtina within the post.

Happy crafting, stamping and memory keeping!

Embossed and debossed ...

I have seen this technique a few times and wanted to give it a go.  So, here we are embossing and debossing.  I was skeptical (just a tad) that both embossing folder designs would show but here is the proof!

Click on the attached PDF for the instructions/recipe and supply list.  Keep in mind the items listed are what I personally used.  Make it your own with what you have or purchase new likes and must haves!

If you have ANY questions please reach out to me.  Again, the "supply list" is included at the end of the PDF.  Yes, I also added QR scan codes to follow me on Facebook, IG and this Blog.  I appreciate everyone that reads these posts and if you make this card please post it to my FB page - the QR scan code once again is included in this PDF.  Oh yeah, you can also select to follow using the links on this Blog located that way →→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→→

Have 6 x 6 DSP so let's use it ...

You have heard so often about One Sheet Wonder cards. Here is one for you using 1 sheet of 6"x6" DSP and your card bases. It makes 2 cards. Remember, be creative and make them your own with the DSP you have.

Please do not share my images or PDF.

Below is the PDF which you can view here on the Blog or click to open.

As always, please reach out with any questions.  I would love to see what you do!

Latte Love ...

So, many know I love my coffee.  And, this bundle is perfect.  I love everything about this bundle including the little coffee beans!
Latte Love Bundle: https://bit.ly/3ViW3bu

Some of the products I used are shown in the above photo but I also used a few others.

  • The card is a standard A2 4.25" x 5.5" cut 4.25"x11" and scored at 5.5" using Basic White cardstock.
  • Main panel is 4"x5.25" and the thin Lost Lagoon piece is 4"x1.75" both from "A Little Latte 12"x12" DSP.
  • StaZon Jet Black was used for all stamped images that markers were used on.
  • The front sentiment and the little message inside the card were stamped with VersaMark and then heat embossed with WOW Copper.
  • Stampin' Write markers are fun to use as you have 1 end with a brush tip and the other of course is a bullet tip for writing.  Or, you can use Stampin' Blends.  Colors are Lost Lagoon and Crumb Cake.
  • I did add Wink of Stella (it is an addiction I have) to the coffee pot top, handle and beans as well as the 3 adhesive dot embellishments.
  • The coffee pot was cut with the bundle die using Vellum (from my stash).
  • Several adhesives, Stampin' Seal, Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue and Mini Dimensionals.
  • The Early Espresso ribbon is from a previous catalog and I snipped a bit for the front and also inside.
  • The insert for the inside of the card with the "coffee splatter" photographed darker than it really is.  I did a triple generation with Early Espresso for a light touch.
